We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead the automation, security, and scalability of our cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform), container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab). They will be responsible for implementing secure cloud environments, managing continuous delivery pipelines, and optimizing system performance to ensure operational excellence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or related fields.
- Expertise in Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and GitLab CI/CD.
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture, network security protocols, and best practices.
- Familiarity with security standards such as OWASP, SOC 2, and tools like IDS/IPS and WAF.
- Preferred certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Architect, CISSP, or CCSP.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate across teams.
Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Automation: Build and maintain scalable cloud environments using Terraform to implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions.
- Containerization and Orchestration: Manage and optimize containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes for efficient cloud operations.
- Continuous Integration and Delivery: Implement and maintain continuous delivery pipelines using GitLab CI/CD, focusing on fast and reliable deployments.
- Network Security: Design and maintain secure cloud network architectures, monitor networks for vulnerabilities, and implement IDS/IPS solutions to safeguard against threats.
- System Monitoring and Health: Utilize tools like Prometheus and Grafana to track system performance and provide actionable insights for improvements.
- Operational Excellence: Manage container orchestration and cloud databases, ensuring high availability, fault tolerance, and implementing disaster recovery strategies.
Preferred Qualification
Cloud architecture certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Architect, or equivalent. Security certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or CompTIA Security+. Experience with IDS/IPS, WAF, and network segmentation in cloud environments. Familiarity with OWASP security standards, SOC 2 compliance, and data governance best practices. Hands-on experience with high availability, fault-tolerant systems, and disaster recovery strategies. Knowledge of serverless technologies and container security tools. Strong troubleshooting skills for optimizing cloud, container, and network operations. Ability to lead and contribute to process improvement initiatives. Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA, security, and operations teams.
