Opening Summary

We are looking for an Accounting Domain Intern to support product design, functional validation, and quality assurance for our accounting and finance software. This role is ideal for candidates who understand accounting concepts and want to apply them in building and validating real-world accounting systems such as ledgers, vouchers, taxation, and financial reports.

You will work closely with product managers, developers, and QA teams to ensure accounting logic is correct, compliant, and aligned with real business use cases.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of basic accounting concepts and principles.
• Ability to map real-world accounting scenarios to software workflows.
• Comfort with validating numbers, balances, and reports.
• Ability to write clear functional test cases and defect descriptions.
• Must be available full-time for the entire 6-month internship duration.
• Willingness to learn accounting software products and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Understand accounting workflows such as journal entries, vouchers, ledgers, and trial balance.
• Validate accounting features for correctness including debits, credits, balances, and reports.
• Create functional test cases for accounting scenarios (sales, purchases, expenses, payments).
• Review product requirements from an accounting and compliance perspective.
• Perform manual testing of accounting modules and document defects clearly.
• Assist in validating GST, tax, and compliance-related calculations (where applicable).
• Support product documentation, sample data creation, and user scenarios.

Preferred Qualification

Hands-on experience with accounting software such as Tally, Busy, Zoho Books, or QuickBooks. Understanding of GST, VAT, or basic tax compliance. Exposure to software testing or product documentation. Interest in FinTech, accounting automation, or SaaS products.

Stipend Eligibility Criteria

• Complete the entire 6-month internship period without early exit.
• Maintain minimum 80% attendance as per company policy.
• Deliver assigned product reviews, test cases, and validations on time.
• Actively participate in product discussions, demos, and QA reviews.
• Adhere to confidentiality, accuracy standards, and professional conduct.
• Early exit or termination due to performance or conduct issues will void stipend eligibility.
