Opening Summary

We are looking for a dedicated MongoDB Intern who is eager to work on high-performance, document-oriented database systems. You will collaborate with backend and data teams to design collections, optimize queries, manage database operations, and ensure smooth performance across applications.

Requirements

• Good understanding of MongoDB fundamentals and NoSQL concepts.
• Hands-on experience with MongoDB through personal/academic projects.
• Ability to design basic schemas and write MongoDB queries.
• Familiarity with Mongoose (if using Node.js) or PyMongo (if using Python).
• Understanding of indexing, relationships, and performance basics.
• Must be available full-time for the entire 6-month internship.
• Must submit GitHub repositories, project links, or sample MongoDB work.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain MongoDB collections, schemas, and indexes.
• Assist in writing optimized MongoDB queries and aggregation pipelines.
• Support backend teams in integrating MongoDB with Node.js, Python, or other services.
• Monitor database performance and assist in troubleshooting issues.
• Help implement data validation rules, schema design patterns, and backups.
• Work with developers to ensure efficient data modeling for new features.
• Document database structures, changes, and best practices.

Preferred Qualification

Experience using MongoDB Atlas or cloud-based MongoDB deployments. Knowledge of aggregation framework, pipelines, and performance tuning. Familiarity with Node.js, Python, or Java for backend integration. Understanding of replication, sharding, or backup strategies. Certifications or courses in NoSQL databases or MongoDB.

Stipend Eligibility Criteria

• Complete the full 6-month internship duration without early exit.
• Maintain minimum 80% attendance (as per company guidelines).
• Deliver assigned database tasks, optimizations, and documentation on time.
• Participate actively in team meetings, sprint ceremonies, and discussions.
• Follow data security, confidentiality, and professional conduct standards.
• Early exit or termination due to performance or behavioral issues will void stipend eligibility.
