Opening Summary

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Node.js Developer Intern who wants hands-on experience building scalable backend systems, APIs, and microservices. You will work closely with the engineering and product teams to develop server-side logic, manage databases, and contribute to production-grade backend services.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of JavaScript and backend development fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience with Node.js and Express.js through academic/personal projects.
• Familiarity with databases (MongoDB/PostgreSQL/MySQL).
• Understanding of API design and server-side logic.
• Basic knowledge of Git/GitHub.
• Must be available full-time for the entire 6-month internship.
• Must share GitHub repositories or project portfolio demonstrating backend work.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express.js.
• Write clean, modular, and efficient backend code following best practices.
• Work with databases such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Integrate third-party APIs and internal services into backend applications.
• Debug backend issues, optimize performance, and ensure reliability.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and sprint planning.
• Document API endpoints, backend workflows, and system configurations.

Preferred Qualification

Experience with frameworks like NestJS or Fastify. Familiarity with Redis, message queues, or caching. Knowledge of Docker or containerized deployments. Understanding of microservices architecture and modular backend design. Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud environments.

Stipend Eligibility Criteria

• Complete the full 6-month term without discontinuation.
• Maintain minimum 80% attendance (as per company policy).
• Achieve backend development deliverables and sprint goals.
• Participate actively in meetings, technical discussions, and code reviews.
• Adhere to coding standards, security guidelines, and professional ethics.
• Early exit or termination due to low performance/disciplinary reasons will void stipend eligibility.
